Welcome to Key West Velo! Ahhh…Key West. The St. Tropez of the poor. A magical, beautiful place to spend your sunny days and tropical nights pedaling around on your bicycle. I am hoping this website will help bring more island cyclists together as well as encourage more visitors to explore by bicycle and leave the cars at home.
If you’re visiting from the mainland or abroad, welcome to Key West! If you cannot be here, feel free to vicariously visit through this blog or use it to help plan your visit. Locals, I am hoping this site will become a hub of our community and a great way to share photos, ideas and organize some fun events and afterparties.
I will continue to photograph lots and lots of bicycles and try to capture a good snapshot of what’s happening on the island, kinda like a historical record, but one involving happy hours and whatnot.
I plan to add lots of useful links for local businesses, other bicycle websites and blogs as well anything useful to help bring more pedaling to our island! I’d like to organize some clean-ups as well as more alley cats and other events. Goldsprints maybe?
Hopefully the stolen bike alert page will not be used; ever. But if needed, its there and we’ll get the word out and about.

hells yeah still ridin’ here! i need up update this blog to redirect traffic, been focusing energy on bicyclesfirstkeywest.org. trying to do more advocacy type stuff while still capturing random fun stuff here on the island. checked your blog, love it! i discovered that dinosaur too and still like riding by it! looking forward to reading all of your old posts, totally diggin; it dude!
I looked at your bicyclesfirstkeywest.org site and saw the info. on the Critical Mass Key Weird ride this upcoming Friday. It sounds like a lot of fun, and I look forward to going.
